Driven by our mandate to safeguard public health and our objective to ensure the availability of safe, effective, and high-quality therapeutic goods at affordable prices, our organization oversees the provincial pharmaceutical sector through four core operational sections: 

• Quality Control & Drug Regulation: Ensures the enforcement of The Drugs Act, 1976 and DRAP Act, 2012, managing licensing, routine market surveillance, and legal action against unregistered, counterfeit, or substandard therapeutic goods. 

• Quality Assurance & Drug Testing Laboratories (DTLs): Conducts rigorous laboratory testing and spot screening via static and mobile DTLs to guarantee that all circulating medicines meet high safety, quality, and WHO-aligned compliance standards. 

• Medicine Coordination Cell (MCC): Provides technical assistance and framework rate-contracting for the procurement of cost-effective, high-quality medicines, disposables, and equipment across public health facilities in KP. 

• Pharmacy Services: Oversees clinical and hospital pharmacy management, pharmacovigilance, medication safety, and rational drug use policies to elevate patient care standards statewide.
